restless.

i turned off my phone and turned it back on again. finally decided to turn it off, lay on my bed and closed my eyes for a goodnight sleep. woke up, sent a text message. it's 2am.

i didnt notice that i fell asleep again. 9:30 in the morning, gave a heavy sigh *sigh*. i was happy. what am i doing? no, i'm finishing it. but i was happy even for a short time. no, i have to end it.

i'm confused.

staring blankly on my mirror. looking at myself. yes, i was indeed happy. so, what's .bothering me? my phone beeped. read a message. yes, i know. it doesn't matter, does it. why would you care?

realizations.

only i care. only i felt something. i lost. i fell. i was happy but i have to end it.

what is the purpose of life? what is the purpose of breathing? what is the purpose of tomorrow? everyday, there's a what, why, when and who questions. when i was a junior in high school, my homeroom teacher asked us what is happiness. each of us answered him with the things or people that will make us happy. a followup question was asked: "are you really happy?". he explained that to find full happiness, one has to be satisfied. and unless, we never stop asking for more, we will never have contentment in life. therefore, true happiness will not be found.

everyday i wake up (or every night), since i'm a nocturnal creature... i am thankful to God for everything, may it be good or bad. though sometimes, i do ask Him why i must endure hardships in life. then again, i'm just human.

and to one person who inspired me to live life to the fullest, domo arigatou gozaimasu. even if your life story brought not only a litre of tears, but more than that, many thanks to you. zutto ikite - live on forever from Kituo Aya

At My Wit's End

gawd! i definitely need a break!

the past few days i've noticed that i stayed 12 hours at work, doing pre and post shift OT. i don't usually do that with the other companies i've worked for nor with the previous accounts i've been with. i don't even stay awake for 12 hours at home. what is going on with me?! between updating trackers and gving out reports, i must be crazy. 

i can't wait for my much-long awaited vacation (rest). i wish you're here... hugging me tightly. you're the only person right now that keeps me sane.

My 20-min Ride

people laughing, peole chatting. children running, children playing. a man and a woman holding hands... sweetly looking at each other. suddenly, the bright moon is shadowing around us. 

then at one corner, i see an old man prepping up his bed for a goodnight rest. in front of  a bank, lay all of his belongings. a bag of clothes, some old newspaper, a loaf of bread to eat... i call it garbage, but those are his precious belongings.

i closed my eyes and wondered, what if we live in a perfect world? what is going to happen? will there be no pain? will there be pure happiness? will everybody be satisfied with what they have?

i looked around. behind the bright street lights are dark and twisty emotions of people who suffered from pain.. physical, pyschological, emotional pain... music is playing in my ears, trying to think of happy thoughts.

finally, i took a deep breath. it's 8:30 in the evening, almost time for work. paid the cab driver of how much i owe him, smiled and said thank you. rode the elevator, left my bag in my locker and headed of to my station.. seeing my colleagues with their happy faces even if we have a lot of work to do. i guess, i can't think of any reason why i can't be happy. =)

The ZOOfari Experience

today, i embarked on a new journey... to the land called avilon. actually, we just went to avilon park hehe. the original plan was to tour historic sites in manila. i guess, i got hooked up to the rizal park fever when we went to the oceanarium. the plan was to go to pain and rehab in megamall. because, i need to have my left wrist be examined by my ortho and undergo a series of therapy sessions. unfortunately, pain and rehab is under construction. only God knows when it will re-open.

so, i decided to drop by the office. however, the guard didn't let me in the ops floor because i was wearing havaianas. duuuh! i'm on leave. i really hate that guard. anyway, it's all good. i won't let him ruin my day. i talked to emmie for a bit. i saw amy and a few others while we are talking. we talked about some serious matters at work, and some non-serious matters hehe.

the trip to the avilon zoo, is one of those spur-of-a-moment thing. my date mentioned that while touring manila, we can go to manila zoo. but he said not to expect too much since it's not well maintained. with the word "zoo", i've thought of montalban zoo. once we went back to cubao, we went to netopia. i googled montalban zoo. lo and behold! we got avilon zoo. of course, we also researched how to commute to that area. when we left cubao, he asked me if i did any research about going back to cubao. hmmm, good question. i didn't actually LOL. though, i think we can manage to go back to cubao without any problems.

so, we had to take an fx ride all the way to montalban. we stopped at eastwood greenview subdivision and took a tricycle ride to avilon zoo. it's a bumpy tricycle ride. phew! entrance fee is worth P208. not bad actually.. the lady from the ticketing asked us if this is our first time to tour the zoo. we said yes. she asked us if we want to walk by ourselves or pay for a tour guide, which is worth P350. with just the 2 of us, no, we'll pass. the whole place is about 7.5hectares, an estimate of a 2-hour walk. 

some of the area is still under renovation. we saw different species of birds, crocodiles and alligators... some boa constrictors, monitor and a whole lot more. the 2-hour walk is tiring. our feet got sore from walking hehe. it was fun though.. i didn't get to see the lions. most of the animals are asleep. hehe. argh! brain dead! i can't think of anything to write hehe. i'm off to my bed now..

Adventures at Manila

yesterday, i had tons of fun! me and my friend went to manila ocean park. the whole park is not yet completed. but there are some of it that are open for public viewing. we just went there by public transportation and by walking. haha! and while walking, we happen to pas by luneta / rizal park. honestly speaking, i hope nobody laughs when they read this... it's my first time ever to BE at rizal park. seriously! my parents never brought me there when i was a kid. we just usually go to the mall or go out of town with my brothers.

going back at the oceanarium (that's what they call it), we were greeted by kids from different schools. i think it's their field trip. a ticket would cost about P400 for adults and P350 for kids. children below 2 feet and below are free of admission.

we saw different underwater species... and best part is, all of these can be found here in the philippines. our country has so much of these beautiful creatures, but we just take them for granted. i like the part where we had to go into the tunnel. the stingray is just swimming freely above us. it feels like we're actually under the sea.

i also like the part where i saw the sharks. we read that when sharks sleep, they're half awake, half asleep. hehehe. i invited my friend to do some fish spa, but he declined. after touring the oceanarium, we talked about going back there. but this time, if everything is done. he told me he'll take me out to dinner sometime while viewing sunset at manila bay.



it's still early. we decided to take a stroll at rizal park. he took a picture of me with the giant statue of lapu-lapu behind me haha!

we sat and ate green mango at the park. i removed my flip-flops and just sat on the bench. i was happily eating the green mango when a stray cat looked at me and was begging for food. he then told me to give the cat something. i told him, the cat just smelled the bagoong. the cat got tired i gues, coz it went off to a different place. he, on the other hand, told me the cat got hurt coz i wouldn't give it anything. errrr... uhmmm... ok...

i invited him for a movie. from manila, we had to take LRT1 and MRT to take us to trinoma. lol. he asked me if i wanna watch movie at sm manila. i told him, i didn't like it there. we bought tickets and unfortunately, we didn't make it to the 5pm show. the next one will start by 7:30pm. we decided to watch eagle eye. it was a pretty good movie. i thought it was just a typical suspense film. but hey, it was pretty good. sort of like, i-robot, when the computer over rides the authority of the officials... wanting to create a more peaceful society.
